Review and recommendation, by Patrick Plaskett
Everyone who saw and liked What the (Bleep) Do We Know will instantly like this movie. The subject is the power of attraction, the universal law that attracts to you what you continually get (or what you would like to receive).
Artfully produced by an Australian film company, The Secret contains interviews with about fifty authors, doctors, visionaries, entrepreneurs, and a smattering of other types who have become familiar with, and used, the law of attraction to good advantage. With all the panache of a mystery adventure film, it entertainingly explores all the details of how a person may transform his or her life as if one had found Aladdin’s Lamp.
The basic premise of the movie is certainly no secret among fans of self help and self actualization books. Some of the most powerful authors of the genre are among those interviewed. Attitude is everything, and can be known by what thoughts you hold and what feelings you get from these thoughts. The feelings go out into the cosmos and bring you what you want. Yet many readers of books containing this very same information have been stymied by not being able to maintain the feeling, and not being able to integrate it into their day-to-day thought process. They may know the basic secret, but how to make it work in their lives remains a secret for them.
This movie changes that. The visuals are emotionally compelling, as is the wealth of detailed information offered by the experts. If feeling is the key to make the secret work, I know of no other vehicle like this movie to make it work for you.
I went to the movie website, www.thesecret.tv and saw the trailer for free. Then I watched the movie as a video stream on my computer (full screen) for $4.95. I was so impressed that I bought the DVD. The folks who have already purchased the download get a five dollar break on the purchase price of the DVD (down to $24.95).
I’m not making any money for this recommendation; I just pass the info around when I see a good one. My website lets me do that more effectively. Go to the website www.thesecret.tv and check out the trailer. Enjoy!
